Joyful – (fish rots from the head down) July 24, 2019
We use this “proverb” in the Greek culture and I strongly disagree that this “proverb” would in anyway pertain to President Trump, who is constantly attacked by the media and ‘regressives’.

kt – (take for a ride) July 6, 2019
Perhaps the more widespread use of “take him for a ride,” in connection with murder, was prompted by the phrase’s use in the 1928 film LIGHTS OF NEW YORK. This was considered a very poor movie (both then and now) but it holds the distinction of being the very first “all-talking” motion picture (I.e., without any silent sequences). Everyone seemed to come away remembering the film’s “take him for a ride” exchange.

Napoleon – (dressed to kill) June 20, 2019
It is my understanding it originated with Napoleons Imperial Guard, 1799-1815 they were an elite group and were treated as such, including uniforms that were basically tuxedos with tails, the finest pants and boots. And literally dressed to kill.
